3 more days and back to "normal" school life...
homework not yet fully done..
need wake up early again startin next week..

I tried to make this ice cream stand up..but it wont.. and oh..I decorated it =)

and this is June's wedding..first wedding tat i've attended here =)

me and jennifer played a duet durin the weddin.. no mistakes made!!

SO....these two weeks.. I made a banana cake..a little burnt on the top but quite nice..

and then i made a carrot cake...kinda uncook or somehow it had this weird smell..

I learnt how to make hong kong style cheese cake from an auntie from hong kong...which is really nice =) I made blueberry muffins... and....Im most proud of my banana cake..yay =)

It's a pretty random post..suddenly wanted to write something because i dont wanna do my homework.. =p

Church camp

heys! went to church camp on mon and tues right after easter weekend =p It was kinda "eerrrr.." at first..but then i quite enjoy it =) That was when i get to really know people from our church..and we have lots of young people who came this time..think we're much closer than before after the camp :)

im trying to show tat i can climb a wall with ropes..but failed :(

was like.."aaahhhhh" and I just stopped there..=p

we made 2 b'day cakes from ice cream, biscuits, and lollies..

for ALEX'S 21ST BIRTHDAY!!! :)

anyways..2 weeks of holiday and one week almost over now..SIEN AH......haven done much work.... hopefully i'll produce something better next week :s

BUT...the main point is....

ONE'S GOT GLASSES ON AND THE OTHER HAS NOTHING ON!!! =p

YUP...I wore contact lens for the very very first time in my whole entire life yesterday..!! =)

AFTER 8 YEARS of WEARING SPECTACLES/GLASSES/CERMIN MATA/YAN JING...

I FINALLY knew what it was like to see properly and clearly without wearing something on my face =p

and that feeling was sooo nice and sooo great.. :)

Some people said i looked weird..some said i need to change my hairstyle to suit my face without glasses..and this guy said i looked like an indian without contacts..LOL..

but most of them said im nice without glasses..hehehehe =p

anyways..I took 20 mins trying to get them into my eye balls yesterday!! It was kinda scary at first..and i cant stop blinking..lol..but today i took 5-7 mins to get them in..yay!! Im soo proud of myself for tat improvement =p

Im still gonna wear my glasses everyday..only wear contacts for ocassions..only brought 4 disposable pairs from malaysia..and one pair only lasts for 8 hrs.. =(

I still prefer my glasses actually..but contacts are kinda cool =p

Today's AWESOME...my friends threw a sort-of-surprise birthday party for me =)

I wasnt suppose to know..but then i knew..cuz someone accidentally gav me clues..lol..
and there's this indian guy who never actually talked to me said happie birthday??? so i was like.." hmm how did you know its almost my birthday??" =p

Anyways..according to the mount roskill school tradition..the birthday girl/guy receives and takes a bunch of balloons around throughout the day in school.. and write their blessings on the balloons.. pretty simple but nice =)

But..

Happy chinese new year bloggy!! =)

This year is our second year celebrating cny in auckland..
Much better than last year cause we have more friends now..
And we've got supply of food tat i brought back from malaysia!! =p

Ice skating!!

What?? DONT LAUGH ok..

I went ice skating for the first time in my life.
And EVERYBODY except me can ice skate!
so i started with leaning on the side wall..for like the whole entire hour..learning the basics of ice skating =p
And the ice skate shoes tat i have to wear..its soo heavy..no kidding..and i've got like a huge blister in the end of the day..ouch..
anyways..It's really sad cause this kid wanted to pass by and he's like "excuse me " and gave me that look =s
but cant blame me wad..kuching dont have any ice skating place! xD

Oh and we did those everybody-line-up-and-skate-around thing =)

We have friendship rings and mine's purple colour =p

So....after an hour-ish of teaching from my friends..and after felling down on my knees and on my butt..

I CAN STAND ON ICE WITHOUT THE WALL!!! =) I can skate a little bit..but not too far..and i bet i look a duck when i skate..cause i still dont relaly hav the right skills..but at least i can walk around rite?? xD

and this last photo was actually me trying to lift up one of my foot so that i can pose properly..but i cant lift it up =p

I'll make sure i can lift one foot up beautifully next time round =p

Goat Island Beach..me-eh-eh

Went to Goat Island beach yesterday...
But I dint see any goats at all =.=

oh this is the first time i've got into the water in new zealand..!!! lol

Sea Urchin!! i think . It moves..like ticklish on ur hands..hehe

This is me and nathan and my dad..swimming =)

trust me its quite scary swimmin in the deep sea..

It's actually a marine reserve place..so we get to swim with the fishes..

so after swimming we went for a beach investigation..lol..well sorta..

we found different kinds of seaweeds..and the anenome??? and the starfish and the sea urchin and some big shell creatures..

It was super fun..I put on lots of sunblock =)

I dint see spongebob though.. =p

The weight thing

Yes yes yes...I've GAINED weight since i came to auckland..BUT this is NOT ENTIRELY MY FAULT..
HMPH =p

One.

I blame new zealand for being a rich-in-dairy-product country..Why not produce more healthy food like veges and fruits??rather than having so many cows and sheeps which happens to produre irresistable cheeesseee , milk , and buttter..It's really frustrating tat most of the meals here would include these fatty stuffs..which equals to SATURATED FAT ! =.=

Two.

Why do THEY ( people makin food in nz) have to make huge meal proportions??
Let's compare this.

New Zealand fish and chips.

lots of chips and thats a lot of fish..

no healthy food like salad.

malaysian style fish and chips.

about 20 fries or less

Three.

Malaysia is a country located near..err... i think its called garisan khatulistiwa =p

Due to the hot weather for the whole entire year..we SWEAT..

and when we sweat we burn calories faster..

UNLIKE NZ, we do not sweat at all especially winter.. only summer gets a bit hot..otherwise..yeah..and when I dont sweat..I feel really fat.. =(

Four.

Playing sports here is really really expensive.

We cant book a badminton court if we're not a member..and one court per hour cost bout 25 dollars..which is..bout rm60-70 ish..

Swimming cost bout $5.50 nad there's like heaps of people in the pool..

there's no sarawak club or KGS here ... =p

Jogging's free of course..but i dont like it.

anyways.

Oh wells..im back from malaysia!!! not tat exciting comin bac in fact.. =s
WOOH~ haven been out from the cage since a long long long time...
so yup..i went TOTALLY crazyyyeh and nuts =)

today's the first day of summer =) and also the day that i officially finished all my exams..although i told everyone i finished exams like a week and a half ago..but oh wells..i still have music and chinese scholarship papers today..i know it sounds lame..but in fact..it is pretty lame..=p

but music's cool though..when i tell people i do music..and they're like "woah!! you do music??" sounds like im a really talented person which made me feel good...lols..but im not a music genius or anything..i cant even sight read a piece properly..i take music now cause i know if i drop it im gonna stop practicing my piano and stuff..and i love music..but at the moment i dont think im gonna study music in uni..i love music but not necessarily im good in it right??

okay..im not tat sure about wad im gonna write today..anyways..end of exams..and im going back to kuching this friday!! but i dont wanna go home by myself..sigh..just felt kinda empty without my family..i know sometimes i find them annoying..lol..but still..leaving my family for 6 weeks..eating all those food without being able to share with them..christmas without them as well??? tats just kinda sad isnt it?

but yeap..im still looking forward to my trip back home!! first time travelling alone and its a long long trip..but i guess its gonna be fun =p as long as i dont get lost in KLIA..or i fall asleep in the plane and cant wake up and i end up somewhere else..or i went to the toilet and didnt notice my flight's on board and i missed it..or some terrorist went on the plane..OR THE PLANE RAN OUT OF FUEL AND HAD TO LAND IN THE MIDDLE OF SOUTH AFRICA OR AN OCEAN..!!! and i might get attacked my sharks and whales and big big octopus =.=

nah...i'll be safe..cause kuching needs me a lot so i have to go home safely =)

P.E.A.N.U.T B.U.T.T.E.R !!!! okay..tat looks a bit like..shit..but no way..its not gonna stop me from eating peanut butter..

descriptions of peanut butter :

1, creamy

2, salty

3, buttery

4, peanutty

5, TASTY!!

there are 3 different types of peanut butter as far as i know..smooth peanut butter..which is..smoooth?? =p crunchy..which has bits of nuts in it so you get a bit of crunch feeling..and super chrunchy which has lots and lots of chunks of peanuts..=) all of them taste superb..depends on which one you like most..

and this peanut butter brand- KRAFT is what im craving for..damn..they taste soooo goodd...its a product from aussie..made from 100% aussie peanuts..it has no artificial colours,flavours or preservatives..and because the one im havin at home is the "light smooth peanut butter" so it has 25% less fat than regular kraft nuts peanut butter..man..look how good is that =p

Ways to eat peanut butter :
1, i put peanut butter on toast with banana slices..( you
should really try tat, healthy and delicious )

2, i stick my oreo biscuits into peanut butter too..instead of milk..or

3, take a spoon or sumthing..dig in the peanut butter and lick it =p

4, and the old tradiotional nice way..peanut butter and jam
sandwich!!

but of course you can eat it with many other stuffs..in a lot of ways..but yeah..=p if you have not try peanut butter in your whole entire life..just TRY it..unless you are allergic to peanut stuff..but you will never regret trying peanut butter..

and SO...the kraft peanut butter slogan : NEVER OILY, NEVER DRY =)

its been a year

Today is the 22nd of november..
Exactly one year ago, i came to auckland..
it wasnt for a 2-week holiday..or anything..
i couldnt change the fact tat my family migrated.

I remembered..how i cried because i didnt expect this to be this early..
I remembered how LOTS of people went to the airport to send me off..
I remembered..how i began to treasure the people and stuffs around me..
I remembered..how i felt the moment the airplane took off..

It's been a year since i came here..this year seemed soo long yet time still proves it doesnt wait for anyone..at this point of time..when i sit down and think of what i've gone through this year..well i couldnt really put them in words..but its been a really tough and challenging year for me in a way..but on the other hand..its a WONDERFUL year =)

I realized i complained a lot especially for the first few months..and when i keep complaining..i never learn to appreciate whats around me..but slowly God opened up my heart to a lot a lot of stuff..even the tinniest winniest thing..could mean a lot..God showed his love through people especially from church and friends..and most importantly..i spent a lot more time with my family than i used to..=) Thank you God for all your blessings :)

I miss my big big family back in kuching and my old friends a lot..I really miss them =p
But without coming here..i guess i would never know how important they were to me..

OH..When i first came..i hated new zealand a lot as in A LOT..lols..bad weather..no laksa or kolo mee..need to walk to school..no kopitiam..shops closed at 5..no pirated dvds..no phua chu kang series..gosh..life is soo boring..=.=

but yeahh..its not tat bad after all..hehe.. I think im starting to get use to the life here..i need to admit tat its still kinda boring..but it'll get better..with my skills..it'll get better..haha..this place got me FAT though..=( even i do exercise..i wont sweat..the weather's a bit too cold for me..sigh..BUT i get to experience 4 seasons!! and i just love to shop here..yay :P

guess i'll stop here..thats a summary only..haha..but yeahh..you get it right?
I will make my life good here..=)
